A filling of just two ingredients, and the roll looks like it came from a patisserie.
Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- 120 g of sugar and 120 g of flour
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 150 g of tahini halva
- 85 g of butter at room temperature
Preparation
- Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla until the mixture is thick, pale and airy.
- Fold in the sifted flour with a spatula, from the bottom up, so you keep the air in.
- Spread onto a 40×30 cm lined tray and bake for 12 minutes at 180 °C.
- Turn the hot sponge out onto a damp cloth dusted with sugar, peel off the paper and roll it up together with the cloth. Leave to cool.
- Crumble the halva and beat it with the butter into a smooth cream.
- Unroll the sponge, spread with the filling and roll up again. Chill for an hour before slicing.
